'Apapane Himatione sanguinea, in Ohia Metrosideros polymorpha, Pihea Trail, Koke'e State Park, Kaua'i. This is one of the more common of the Hawaiian Honeycreepers (Drepanidinae) being found on all the main islands. Nevertheless, they can be hard birds to photograph- quite flighty.
