Tyto 6- Masked Owl
When the youngsters finally emerged from the hollow they were distinctly different in their colouration, prompting me to call one of them Rusty and the other Pinky. They were completely at ease with my presence nad I was treated to many hours of enjoyable behaviour watching. They would often play together, scrapping over food that the parents brought them. They would also display moments of tenderness while nuzzling each others mask ruffs.

Rusty was bolder an more adventurous than Pinky and was exploring the neighbouring trees and branches before Pinky was game to leave the hollow entrance.
